Ad-hOKSiM express four human stem cell reprogramming factors (Oct4, Klf4, Sox2, and c-Myc) from a single CMV promoter. The four genes are linked by 2A “self-cleaving” peptides and IRES, which support efficient polycistronic expression from a single promoter to reduce the number of viruses necessary to reprogram somatic cells.
