Background
Enables adrenomedullin receptor binding activity. Involved in several processes, including androgen metabolic process; regulation of heart contraction; and response to insulin. Located in extracellular space. Used to study congestive heart failure and toxic shock syndrome. Biomarker of glomerulonephritis; hypertension; hypertrophic cardiomyopathy; obstructive jaundice; and ureteral obstruction. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in brain infarction; breast cancer; pancreatic cancer; and pulmonary hypertension. Orthologous to human ADM (adrenomedullin).
