rProtein A FF column is prepacked with rProtein A Sepharose™ Fast Flow resin for the purification and fractionation of IgG subclasses and IgG from various sources, including cell supernatants and ascites fluid.
The recombinant protein A ligand (produced in E. coli) is coupled to the Sepharose™ Fast Flow resin using a technique that generates a stable thioether linkage between rProtein A and the base matrix. This coupling technique is optimized to provide high binding capacity for IgG.
The special design of the column, together with the resin, enables fast, simple, and convenient separations. The column can be operated with a syringe, peristaltic pump, or liquid chromatography system such as ÄKTA™.
Key Features
• Quick, convenient preparative purification of monoclonal antibodies.
• Well-established protein A-based resin used in many approved MAb manufacturing processes.
• Recombinant protein A exhibits Fc region specificity similar to that of native protein A, with enhanced binding capacity and fewer regulatory concerns due to the complete absence of mammalian culture in ligand production and purification.
• Simple operation with a syringe, pump, or high-performance chromatography system such as ÄKTA™.
