LiPure™ Bacteria DNA Extraction Kit provides a rapid and easy method for isolating high-quality genomic DNA from a wide variety of gram-positive and gram-negative bacterial species. The kit utilizes an optimized lysis condition, allowing up to 1 × 10⁹ bacterial cells to be processed per column. The buffer system is optimized to enable direct cell lysis followed by selective binding of DNA to the column membrane. Simple centrifugation steps effectively remove contaminants and enzyme inhibitors—such as proteins and divalent cations—and allow multiple samples to be processed simultaneously. The purification procedure requires no phenol or chloroform extraction, no alcohol precipitation, and involves minimal handling. DNA purified with this kit is ready for most downstream applications, including PCR, sequencing, genotyping, Southern blot analysis, and restriction enzyme digestion.
