LiPure™ MagBead Bacteria DNA Extraction Kit provides a rapid and easy method for isolating high-quality genomic DNA from a wide variety of gram-positive and gram-negative bacterial species. The kit can be processed manually or on an automated platform. The buffer system is optimized to enable direct cell lysis followed by selective binding of DNA to magnetic beads. Three rapid wash steps remove trace salts and protein contaminants, after which DNA is eluted in water or a low ionic strength buffer. Purification requires no phenol or chloroform extraction, no alcohol precipitation, and involves minimal handling. DNA purified with this kit is ready for most downstream applications, including PCR, sequencing, genotyping, Southern blot analysis, and restriction enzyme digestion.
